What is an average day at ICECREAM like?

The daily schedule usually goes like this: Up at first light for prayer and breakfast, then hit the boats for that all important first bite. After landing a few keepers you are back to clean your catch and enjoy a hot lunch, and afternoon nap or fellowship. Afternoons can be much laid back in a wilderness setting but some die hard fishermen are back at it again in the hopes of landing a giant Tyee. Some just like to sit on our private dock and finish that good book they never seemed to have time for.

Bask in the solitude of whispering winds and gently lapping waves. Our only neighbors are the eagles, and passing whale. Enjoy the outdoors in the great northwest wilderness and forget about the pressures of work, school, etc.. An ICECREAM retreat is the perfect place to dwell on the important things in life.

The dinner bell rings around five and you don't want to be late for home style cooking. The menu is different every night and can include anything from roast turkey to daily caught fish. After a hearty meal and lots of fishing secrets being disclosed around the dinner table you’re off for the evening bite.

No dishes to do or fire wood to chop, just hop back into your boat and head for the fishing grounds. After another picture perfect evening in Barkley Sound, you return at dusk to stow away your catch and have a time of reflection around the campfire. There is always a story to be told and a few more laughs while the kids roast marshmallows over the open campfire.

After a long day of being out in the ocean you rest comfortably in one of our warm and cozy bunks for a good night sleep just to wake refreshed and do it again. If you enjoy the outdoors and good fellowship, be pre-warned, you will not want to leave.
